Bookseller of Kabul
I recently finished this heart-wrenching book. I feel that I learned a lot from it but that my attitude toward people living in the middle east is less tolerant than it was before reading the book. That was a totally unexpected outcome. Before reading it, I figured I would gain insights into middle eastern life that would bring me closer to the people that live there. Not so. Life, as portrayed in the book, is so vastly different from the one I've known in the US that common ground seems nearly unattainable.
Hello World
I've heard so much about blogs in recent years. I thought I'd see how hard it is to set one up and add some entries. I assume it's likely that no one will ever read this post yet I feel bashful as if many eyes are looking at these words.
